FOSTER CARE - THERAPEUTIC - CHILDREN
Provides temporary family settings for children ages 0-18 with special emotional, physical, medical, or developmental needs. Pre-placement planning to match the child with an appropriate foster family is provided. Foster parents are recruited from culturally diverse backgrounds and receive up to 26 hours of pre-service training, including parenting skills. Additional special training and respite care are available to foster parents throughout the year. Staff is available on a 24 hour basis for emergencies. Potential foster parents must complete required training, medical exams, background checks, and a home study prior to providing placement.
